AMES is pleased to be part of the Federal Government’s jobactive employment initiative and will continue to work to improve employment and recruitment outcomes for jobseekers and employers, AMES CEO Cath Scarth said today as the scheme was launched.

“AMES is committed to promoting workforce participation and helps more job seekers to find and keep a job,” Ms Scarth said.

“Our work in the settlement of migrants and refugees shows us that single most important factor in people having meaningful fulfilling lives is getting and keeping a job,” she said.

AMES will provide employment services with our partners through jobactive at 37 sites in Victoria and NSW. The sites are located in north-western, inner, north-eastern, south-eastern and western Melbourne; as well as in the western suburbs of Sydney.

“From today we look forward to working through jobactive to better meet the needs of job seekers and employers and improve job outcomes,” Ms Scarth said.

“AMES has twenty years’ experience providing employment services and a long and proud association with Federal Government employment initiatives and we are pleased to be continuing that cooperative relationship,” she said.

Listen to Federal Assistant Employment Minister Luke Hartsuyker talk to AMES about the government’s new employment and regional development priorities.
