Best selling author of Pepe & Poppy, Joe Novella, has turned his hand to documentary making. The son of Italian immigrants has embarked on a journey to reconnect with his parents’ Calabrian roots in southern Italy and has discovered some surprising facts along the way. AMES spoke with Joe soon after episode one of 10-part web series Calabrisella Mia premièred at the Museo Italiano.
