Celebrating diversity

27 February 20140 comments

Cultural DiversityHelp celebrate Melbourne’s cultural diversity with an afternoon of family friendly fun.

The 2014 Community Cultural Fair is being hosted by AMES and the Melbourne City Council as part of Cultural Diversity Week on Saturday March 15 at the Drill Hall, 26 Therry Street, in the city.

Family activities, market stalls, cultural dance and music performances – including the exciting Burundi Drummers – will ensure the fair will be an event to remember.

The fun starts at 11am with traditional Aboriginal Welcome to Country ceremony.

“We are planning to make the fair a fun day for everyone who comes and great opportunity to learn more about Melbourne’s amazing cultural richness,” said AMES Manager, Community and Volunteering Maria Tsopanis.
