fifty-six threads x350More than a hundred satisfied customers enjoyed a sumptuous five-course repast at fifty-six threads café last weekend as part of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival.

The ‘Sea of Cultures’ event was hailed by all as a great success and congratulations flowed in to chef Matt and the AMES staff who made the day a gastronomic gala.

The five courses included food from across the globe but the hit of the day was the rosewater panacotta with pistachio fairy floss.

AMES CEO Catherine Scarth said the event was a fantastic success.

“The menu was definitely a Sea of Cultures and an outstanding success – we are still trying to decide our favourite dish and probably would all like a repeat of all five courses just to make sure!” she said.

“Please pass on my congratulations and a big thank you to the staff and all involved, as we were leaving I had lots of comments on how great the food was as well as the service, not to mention the coffee.” Cath said.
