Jane visits a garden that’s a hub for refugees
“A couple of years ago, I visited Werribee Park – an historic 400 hectare property featuring a mansion and beautiful gardens and it’s about an hour west of Melbourne,” says Jane. “But something else amazing was happening there which is where my story began.” Jane arrives at Werribee Park to meet a group of women who are cooking up a storm. They’re Karen refugees from the border of Burma and Thailand – and everything they’re cooking has been grown at the old kitchen garden on the estate.
