Footy’s great but work is key for migrants (Herald Sun)

LAST Sunday about 60 young people new to Australia took the field at Etihad Stadium to play a game of footy.
They played at halftime during the Bulldogs-Bombers match as part of the AFL’s laudable Multicultural Round program, which concludes this weekend.
They came from 16 different countries, follow five or six different religions and speak 19 different languages.
Some are refugees fleeing persecution or conflict; most are migrants looking for better lives.
