Television presenter and journalist Helen Kapalos​ has been appointed Victoria’s new multicultural commissioner.

The Greek-Australian was revealed as the state’s new head of cultural diversity in Melbourne on Tuesday evening at an Iftar dinner, celebrating the end of the Muslim fast in the month of Ramadan.
