The ALP’s foreign affairs spokeswoman Tanya Plibersek says the refugee crisis from the Syrian conflict is unprecedented, and Australia should be contributing significantly more funding to humanitarian efforts. Ms Plibersek has visited refugees in Jordan and Lebanon and says the $12 million pledged by the Government last week isn’t nearly enough.
